In THE PAPER? woaaaah

I WAS IN THE PAPER FOR QUIZBOWL. XD


"A team from -insert school name- correctly answered dozens of questions about history, grammar, science, math and the arts to win the 2008-09 Junior Quiz Bowl Tournament on Saturday.

Members of the winning team are students -insert names here-.

"We're ecstatic. This was totally unexpected," said the team's sponsor, Eileen Rhoades.

Rhoades said Saturday marked only the second time the team has played as a whole, because the regular matches are often on Thursday evenings. That presented a scheduling conflict for quiz bowl team members who also participate in sports, Rhoades said.

"I'm just so proud of them," she said with a grin.

In the final round of the tournament, the Edgar Martin team pulled ahead of a team from Fatima by answering toss-up questions, in which a member of either team can buzz in to answer. If a team member gets the answer right, that team is asked four bonus questions worth a total of 20 points.

In addition, the tournament includes lightning rounds, in which each team is given definitions and must supply the correct word, with all of the words beginning with the same letter.

Fatima tied the score after two complete rounds, but stumbled in the final lightning round, allowing Edgar Martin to take the lead for good.

The event is the longest-running community program for the Junior League of Lafayette, said League member Stephenie Geiger, chairwoman for the Junior Quiz Bowl committee.

"It's all about the kids," she said. "This is a great way to give back to the community. The teams are always good, and we always see good sportsmanship among the teams." "

It's funny. In the whole quizbowl thing, my school and our 'rivals', PB [the gifted school.. x__x] are the only public schools.. All the other [8? 10? maybe more?] schools are private. xD <3

I'm in a bad mood. ._.

School was pretty bad. Though there was one amusing part..

[During PE]
Us [people in my class] ran a lap then were split into four groups to play frisbee. 1 and 2 versed each other and 3 and 4. We were on the football field so we could see 1 and 2 playing.
We were serious for one round where my team won.

And then the other team was like "Coach said we could take two steps before passing right?" So he takes two steps and hands it to the next person. After that it got dull so I was watching the other group verse each other.

John and Luke [they bother were once my friend in elementary school. Gosh, I miss those days. DX] were like, tackling each other and were like "MOOO" So Sam [he was on my team] starts clapping and going "Cow! Cow!" and Luke was like ;D "MOOO"

After a minute of that, he turns to me and said, "Little do they know cows are girls."

I burst out laughing.

So the rest of PE was good, then I went to French, found out we had a test, and survived English.

I'm dreading March and May. =_=

WUT WUT?

I've been addicted to the Sims.

Dad is coming home tomorrow! ^_^ Or rather tonight. <3

Life's been slow. School is kinda busy...

Oh! Today at school, I was heading to my french class, and on the way there, Mr. Mire, one out of the only six[?] [majority are coaches/teach woodwork/etc.. Mr Mire teaches sign languague and ESL students] goes into my French class. That's pretty normal since his class is next to my french class... Anyway, so I head inside, and he was standing to the side of the doorway where I couldn't see him. And when I entered, he went...

"UWARGRAGH!!!"

I like, screamed out, "OH MY GOD!" since he scared the heck out of me!

And then he says "That's French for boo!"

And I started laughing really hard. He was like "Glad to wake you up for French c:" and then he left momentarily.

When Madame De Prins [the French teacher] enters the classroom, he tells her what he did to me [in French of course. o:''] and Madame starts going "Oh, pauvre cherie! Oh blah blah!"

And I was still laughing.

I bet some students think I'm on drugs sometimes. >>;

I also played b-ball today! <3 I looove playing basketbal [when it's a fair match] and I have a nice team.
Though it was 5 on 5, it seemed more like 4 on 4 since these two girls just stood in the middle and anoyed us.
And I managed to make several shots for my team! Aaaaand get the ball/intercept. It was sooo fun!


I skipped fencing for the third week in a row..
I wonder if Phillip's been going. >.<;;;

Stress level has risen five levels!

Lifes been kinda busy.

My cat is dead.
And we're either adopting a stray, getting a house cat, getting a dog, or not getting a pet for a long time.

I love animals, so I want one. Little One...she was my baby. I loved her. I would hold her in my arms and cradle her like a baby....And she only let ME do that.

And now she's gone. Forever out of my life..

I feel color blind..I feel... I feel blind.

Oww, depressing.
Iunderstand why my mom isn't comfortable with a new pet. We were so attached to her...
This...this feels like last year, when grandma and grandpa died... Moving on..

I got my Soq, he's pretty.. I'm co-owning with a friend because when I mentioned it in MSN, he was like "Lucky! D:" and then I remember how I promised myself I'd co-own my next Soq with him..So yeah. n.n;

My mom went BALLISTIC on me when she saw I made a B on my report card. AN EFFING B.

"Mom, it's not a big deal."
"Yes it is! What am I suppose to say? Too bad? What did Adam make?"
"...Yes, that's all you have to say. And wehn did tis become a competition? Middle school grades don't even MATTER that much. A B won't keep me out of college!"
"Don't give me your attitude! Go to your room!"
"Fine, I think I will!"

So I went there. And started bawling and crying. Like a baby.
Oww, I handled that well. @___@; She was being...urgh.

I want a pet bad. A chinchilla, a fish... Just something to preoccupy my time off of...this. I don't want to deal with this!

My anxiety/stress level is building up. I hope I don't get shingles. I'm worrying about everything....I just want life to SLOW down for me. =3=

I have more to rant about....but later.

Rambling.

I've been busy with honor band. o 3o; My stand partner, Ashley, is really nice... She's also from the gifted school.. xD That I could prolly go to if I wanted to try and see if I was in the gifted program.

HB [Honor Band] is sooo nice...But hard. DX I feel bad since I'm Chair 12, and Hannah, the 13th chair is SO much better than me... I guess I did better with sight reading and prepared pieces? Or was it just because the judge liked me? DX Urrrrgh!

Adam has a guitar.. I went to his house today and strummed some random notes on it... AND NOW I WANT ONE! My fingers hurt a little though. You know what? I'm starting to have *fun* with Adam like it use to be in the older days when there was no such thing as dating.. I loved those days...They were also the days when I liked him. I'm scared I'm gonna fall in love with him again. =3= *sigh*

I also saw Phillip at fencing! Longer hair... DDDX NOOOO! I really like Phillip, I just hate his hair...Long. He got this aweosme jacket for Christmas though! XDDD He can zip it up ALL the way, like..Literally. The whole hood. He looked like a mummy! xD I barely talked to him on Tuesday, though I did some drills with him...Glove kicks, conditional posts... The usual stuff. I really wish school was over so he'd go to the club more. I miss talking and fooling around with him and Rex..We use to play ping pong instead of fencing. XDD Buuuut stupid Rex got a girlfriend! D<>

OH, I've been so addicted to getting more b/c pets lately. I REALLY want another noodle or Mush!... And I want my Soq I one on New Years! D<

I'll have to tell ya'll the irony about the Soq later. ;D

School sux [and band]

It really fails. I hate school.

So three more days? I -guess- I can live..

Atleast, if I calculated correctly, I'm gonna have a B in Ms. Bi-- I mean Ms. Ajala's class, the worst teacher ever.

NOT TO SOUND RACIST, but she's this short, black, FAT lady. And she hates everybody...Including me, miss A student. Atleast I'm gonna have a B and not a C.

My mom is dissapointed, but heck, screw her, I'm HAPPY. She let us drop one grade so I dropped a 0/50 grade. Dx;; i fail so bad at tiemz.
Well, atleast I got a 110/100 on my group presentation/project in her class. O_O;; I guess being original pays off [YOU HEARD THAT RAECHEL... JENNIFER.. IF IT WASN'T FOR ME WE'D PROLLY GET A D. THANK YOU AMIRITE?]

And I have a concert to attend to in less than an hour..Of course I'm playing in it. [1st chair clarinet baibai]
Ms. Daigle will prolly say we sucked because our trumpets are *TERRIBLE*.. *sigh* u.u I really don't want to do scales tomorrow-Friday. :/ Plus carrying my instrument home Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday would be troublesome. [I walk home so yeaaah.]

My hands are covered in bite marks and scratches from my cat yesterday.. Dx Oww.
I might make another entry either today or tomorrow about the concert.. I'll try to draw something to add to it so it isn't so boring~ =D
